HOW TO START GOOD NEWS CLUB

 

What is the Good News Club? It is a place or avenues where the children or the young one hear, study, know about the heroes of the Bible.

 

Who can start the Good News Club?

1.     Saved people

2.     The lovers of children.

3.     Those who have vision for it.

 

Where can you have the club?

1.     In your house

2.     In your school i.e. school teacher.

 

What should be our focus or what we should have in mind (purpose).

1.     To reach and win the child with the message of salvation.

2.     To train the child in the word of God so he will grow spiritually.

3.     To let the child have interest in Bible teaching i.e. Sunday school in the church.

4.     To win the family for Christ through their children.

5.     To establish God’s testimony in the neighbourhood. To fulfill Bible injunction.

 

What should be the qualities of the teacher?

-         Must be sensitive to the need of each child in the class.

-         Teacher must know that he/she is responsible for the class.

-         Must get the study ready at all time.

-         Your study must be in line with your memory verse, and get a song that go in line with the study.

-         Must spiritually mature.

-         Greet the children as the come – mention their name.

-         Provide refreshment

-         Support them in prayer by asking for their prayer request.

-         You can give them material if  possible

-         Pray daily for the specific need

-         Get good sitting for the children

-         There should be drinking water around

-         Maintain discipline in the class

-         Check attendance if possible have a register

 

Things to get for Teaching:

Bible lessons

Visual aids

Poster paper

Marker

 

What to look for:

-         There are some difficult parent in the neighbourhood – your should write them personally in order to invite their children

-         You should know whether the club should be indoor or outdoor.

-         The type of language to use

-         Look for the right time

-         Pass out invitation

 

You must have good follow-up spirit:

-         Establish a relationship with the child and family.

-         Visit them when they have special events to show genuine interest

-         Organize special programme like: Children’s day; Christmas programme; Holiday Bible School; An outing.
