It is appointed Unto Man Once to Die

 

IT IS APPOINTED UNTO MAN ONCE TO DIE(SEE WHAT IT MEANS) !!!

Hebrews 9:27

[27]And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

This passage of the Bible above have been misunderstood and also have birthed a misinterpretation. The common idea many habor about this text is that,it is revealing a God's future judgement to the sinful man. Well,this idea has a partial truth but not completely true. The piece of truth here is that,it talks about judgement for the sinful man but the falsehood is making this text to bear a future fulfillment. This scripture have been fulfilled by Christ Jesus. Now,this passage is not teaching us the purnishment or judgment which the sinful man would recieve eventually when he dies. In the plan of God for man's salvation,God purposed that man would only die once for his sin after which reconciliation would follow,that is God's reconciliation with man. It is appointed unto man once to die is revealing to us what the death of Christ would bring for man. Notice verse 26 of that Hebrew 9.

Hebrews 9:26

[26]He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

You see that,man is suffer an die once for his sin, however, Christ has suffered and died for man's instead. Therefore,man by the reason of the sufferings and death of Christ for him is not allowed to suffer and die again for his sin,otherwise,it would be a second suffering and death for man. The suffering and death of man for his sin will introduce man in to the new creation. That is why the death of Christ brought about a new heaven and Earth,that is,a new creation,and Reconciled every creation back to God. 2Cor 5:17-19 and Col 1:20 explains this truth.

2 Corinthians 5:14

[14]For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died;

You see that, the death of Jesus is actually the death of every single man in this world. To that end,man is not allowed to suffer and die the second time for his sin,that would be a second death. This also means that the man in Christ will no longer experience death,hell or judgement for his sin because he has taken it in Christ and now he is a new man and creature. 

Revelation 21:8

[8]But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” The New Jerusalem

Hell is for the unbeliever,every believer in Christ have been delivered from hell which is the second death by reason of the death of Christ Jesus. Now,man would only experience hell which is the second death when he rejects what God has done in Christ through his death, burial and resurrection. It is called second because the first was in Christ. The second would be the man that rejected the gospel of God's reconciliation. Every believer is sure saved from h£ll which is the second death. It is appointed that should die once for his sin not twice after which,there would be new creations. God's act of salvation killed every man in Christ for sin and created every man a new man in Christ. However,believing in this occasion is what brings man to the place where he can enjoy all this realities,and this state is "in Christ". The man in Christ,the escape hell (second death) man. Amen.
