The Bride of Christ

*The Bride of Christ*

_The Church, The Body of Jesus_

Ephesians 1:23 “And He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of the One filling all in all.”_

Ephesians 5:23 “for the husband is head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church, He Himself Savior of the body.”_

Ephesians 5:25 to 27 “Husbands, love the wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water by the word, so that He might present to Himself the church in glory, not having spot or wrinkle or any of the such things, but that it would be holy and blameless.”_

The Resurrected Christ Himself fixed His eyes dearly on His Bride, the Church.

On earth, in His Glorified newness, the Resurrected Christ Himself appeared to the women first as recorded in Matthew 28:8 to 10 and John 20:14 to 16.

That is such a beautiful picture of the Love of Christ and His Bride - _Jesus and His Church_.

Think about it, a soldier returned from a bloody hard fought war victorious and heroic. Come home and sees his wife .. this would already brings tear of joy to many TV dramas we have watched.

Back to Jesus. He fought a good fight of _Faith_ on the cross, so that he can deliver the promises of _Hope_ of him as the _Saviour_ in the much anticipated home coming to claim the _Love_ of His - that’s us, His Bride, His Church!

1 Corinthians 13:13 But now these three things abide: faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love._

To all you reading this now, ask yourself this, “Are you a member of His Body?” Yes! Of course Yes!!

1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular”_

Therefore, you are part of the Church. Hence you are the Bride of Christ, whom He so dearly love.

This is the Love of Christ for His Bride.

This Love is not the kind of love we talked about on earth. Those earthly love relationships are fragile, temporal and often ends up broken or perverted.

The Love of Christ is PURE because it comes from the Father himself, as it is written:

Ephesians 2:4 to 7 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, made us alive with Christ even we being dead in trespasses—by grace you are saved— and He raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
