Hold Firm to Your Dreams

HOLD FIRM TO YOUR DREAM.

Gen. 37:5 &9

5. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren, and they hated him yet the more.

9. And he dreamed yet another dream and told it his brethren, and said, Behold I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

There are dream and vision killers. Be very careful who you share your dream with.

When God gives a man dream, He may not show him what you will encounter on the road to fulfilling the dream. Be sure of one thing, He will lead you as He did with Joseph.

There are many great soldiers of Christ with great dreams, but the enemy of their souls has collected the glorious future using Delilah and Potiphar's wife of this world. Both Samson and Joseph were enticed by sex. Samson fell but Joseph did not trade his dream for what has no eternal value. Friends, what is that thing that the enemy dangled before you in exchange for your DREAM? It may look spiritual, it may look real and acceptable to all. Will it take you to God's destination for your life?

Many Christians have traded their God-given dream for comfort, fame, position, money, social status, and even sex and have lost their inheritance among the saints of God. Esau traded his birthright for mere food and lost it all. He sought it with tears but could not get it back. Gen. 25:30-34, Heb. 12:16&17.

Beloved of God, do not sell your birthright, dream, vision, or blueprint. That dream, and vision, that God gave you may not be recognized by men, and as a result, men may despise you. Trade it not. Though it tarries, wait for it. It is a matter of time. If Joseph has traded his dream for ten minutes of pleasure, he would not have been the prime minister of Egypt. What God has given you is too precious for you to trade on the altar of immorality.
