In a society that often prioritizes outward appearances and worldly success, it's essential for us, especially our dear sisters, to be discerning when it comes to matters of the heart. While a man may possess charm, success, and charisma, it is the understanding of Christ's love for His Church that determines his ability to love as a godly husband should.


Ephesians 5:25 provides a strong reminder: *"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her."* A man who truly understands the selfless sacrificial love of Christ is equipped to love his wife in a Christ-like manner. Without this foundational understanding, the appearance of charm and niceness is merely just a temporary decoration, lacking the depth of godly love.


It's crucial to recognize the charm of a godless man who may initially appear kind and attentive. 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns us, *"For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light."* A godless man can disguise his intentions under the façade of pleasantness, but over time, his true nature becomes evident. As Romans 8:7 reminds us, *"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be."* A godless individual ultimately seeks self-centered desires and autonomy, mirroring the temptation of wanting to be god of his own life.


Choosing a partner who lacks a genuine understanding of Christian love and faithfulness can lead to a relationship devoid of the spiritual depth needed to weather life's challenges. The man who lacks Christ-centeredness may struggle to comprehend the biblical concept of love, selflessness, and covenant commitment. 1 John 2:15 warns us, *"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."*


Dear sisters, as you navigate the realm of relationships, remember that the foundation of true love is rooted in Christ's example. Seek a partner who not only possesses surface qualities but also embodies a heart transformed by the love of God. In doing so, you honor God's design for marriage and safeguard your heart from the dangers of godless love.


May the Lord grant you wisdom, discernment, and the guidance of His Spirit as you make choices that align with His perfect will.
