Chasing Jesus: The Path to True Fulfilment

*_Chasing Jesus: The Path to True Fulfillment_*

In the pursuit of our desires, whether they be success, wealth, recognition, or relationships, we often find ourselves consumed by the chase. We invest time, energy, and resources into these pursuits, believing that they will satisfy our deepest longings. The Bible teaches us that there is a more rewarding and fulfilling chase— *The Chase After Jesus.*

Matthew 6:33 captures this truth beautifully: *"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."* The Lord encourages us to prioritize our pursuit of His kingdom and His righteousness. When we chase after Jesus with the same fervor and determination that we chase after earthly desires, something remarkable happens: we find ourselves blessed with more than we ever need.

Consider the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34. She pursued Jesus with unwavering faith, believing that merely touching His garment would bring healing. Her pursuit of Jesus was relentless, and she received not only physical healing but also the peace and wholeness that can only come from Him.

Psalm 37:4 declares, *"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart."* When our primary pursuit is the Lord Himself, our desires align with His will, and He grants us the desires that truly matter. In seeking Jesus, we discover that He satisfies the deepest longings of our hearts.

Furthermore, in John 10:10, Jesus assures us of His purpose for us: *"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."* The chase after Jesus leads to an abundance that surpasses anything we could attain through the pursuit of worldly desires. His abundance encompasses not only material blessings but also spiritual riches, peace, joy, and an intimate relationship with Him.

When we chase Jesus with the same fervor and commitment that we chase after the things we desire, we will find that He provides more than we ever need—fulfillment, purpose, peace, and the assurance of His abiding presence.

May our lives be marked by the pursuit of Jesus, knowing that in Him, we discover the ultimate source of all our desires and blessings.
