Remembering God's Worth Above Blessings
*_Remembering God's Worth Above Blessings_*
We often receive blessings and favor from our Heavenly Father. These blessings bring us joy, comfort, and abundance in various forms. However, it is crucial that we never forget God, who is the source of all blessings and worth more than any material or earthly treasure.
Matthew 6:33 sets a fundamental principle for us: *"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."* God encourages us to prioritize seeking Him above all else, trusting that He will provide our needs and bless us abundantly.
It is vital to remember that God is worth more than the blessings He bestows. As we cherish God's presence and seek His righteousness, we come to recognize that His worth surpasses anything this world can offer.
One striking example of this principle is found in the lives of Jesus' disciples. When Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, and John, they were fishermen casting their nets into the sea. Matthew 4:20 recounts the transformative moment: *"They immediately left their nets and followed Him."* In this act of obedience, they left their livelihood, the boat, and everything they had to follow Jesus. They understood that the value of following Christ far exceeded their material possessions.
Matthew 16:26 emphasizes the worth of our souls in comparison to the world's treasures: *"For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?"* Our souls hold eternal significance, and their value far surpasses any earthly riches.
It is natural to be grateful for the blessings we receive, but we should never allow these blessings to overshadow the Giver. Instead, we should focus on nurturing a deeper relationship with God, understanding that His worth is immeasurable.
Let us be conscious of the importance of not forgetting God after He blesses us. God's worth is beyond measure, and He is the source of all blessings. Let us cherish our relationship with Him above all else, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. May we always remember that God is worth more than the blessings He provides.
