It's crucial to remember and impart to our children the true essence of Christmas. It's not about Santa Claus, Christmas trees, or the exchange of presents. Christmas is about Jesus Christ.


Luke 2:11 vividly proclaims the reason for our celebration: *"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."* Christmas commemorates the birth of Jesus, the Savior of the world, the very reason we gather and celebrate this special occasion.


Amidst the excitement of the season, it's essential to remind our children that Christmas is Jesus' birthday. It's not just any ordinary day; it's a time to celebrate the birth of the One who came to bring hope, love, and salvation to the world.


When we pray in Jesus' name, we are invoking the name of the same Jesus whose birth we celebrate on Christmas. Matthew 1:21 reinforces this truth: *"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."* Christmas is the remembrance of the birth of our Savior, Jesus, who came to bring salvation to humanity.


Let's purposefully guide our children to understand the true meaning of Christmas, emphasizing the significance of Jesus Christ's birth. By doing so, we cultivate a deeper understanding of the importance of this season, reminding them that Christmas is not just about festivities but about the greatest gift humanity has received—Jesus Christ.
