Christ in You, the Hope of Glory
Christ in You, the Hope of Glory
*"To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."*
~Colossians 1:27
In these words lies the core distinction of Christianity—our faith is not centered on human striving towards goodness or a list of rules to attain union with God. Instead, it's grounded in the profound reality of God's gift to us through Christ Jesus, granting us assurance of eternal life.
Our hope of glory, the eternal life sought by humanity, is not a distant aspiration but a tangible reality found in Christ. Through His sacrifice and our acceptance of His redemptive work, forgiveness of sins, and new life, we enter into a daily, intimate fellowship with our Creator.
John 14:23 assures us of this indwelling, *"Jesus answered and said to him, 'If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.'"* It's through Christ dwelling within us that we experience God's presence and abiding fellowship.
As those who have embraced Christ, our hope is no longer a distant dream but a present reality. Ephesians 2:6 reaffirms this truth, *"and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."* Our union with Christ brings us into a perpetual relationship with the Creator, allowing us to dwell in His presence continually.
Let us rejoice in the profound mystery of Christ in us—the very essence of our faith and the hope of eternal glory.
