DISCIPLE OF THE CROSS.


Lk. 9:23

And He said to them all if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and, take up the cross daily and follow me.


In Jn. 2:23-25, many believed in the Lord Jesus Christ because they saw the miracles, signs, and wonders He performed. The truth is that Jesus never committed Himself unto men because He knew what was in the heart of men. What is the state of your heart friend? Can God commit Himself unto you? Can He commit Himself and work on earth into your hands and that work will not be messed up? Can He commit the kingdom resources into your hands and you will not squander it like the prodigal son? Lk. 15:13.

Can God commit the souls of men into your hands to nurture them unto maturity and you will not fondled with them?

Can God entrust you with His anointing and glory and you will not use it for show and selfish interest like Samson of old? Judges 14:5-20.


To be a disciple of Christ.

1. You must be genuinely born again.

2. You must walk closely with God on daily consecration.

3. You must read and study your Bible daily.

4. You must love righteousness and hate wickedness. Ps. 45: 6&7.

5. You must be a prayer warrior. Matt. 26:38-40.

6. You must be a soul winner. Matt. 28:18-20.

7. You must be humble. Phil. 2:8.

8. You must have the same mind Jesus had. Phil. 2:5

9. You must die to flesh completely. Gal. 5:24, 1 Pet. 3:18.


When Jesus carried the cross, He carried that men may be saved. He was spit on,  He was given 39 stripes by the people He came to lay down His life for. It was a thing of shame and reproach for a man to carry the cross. Jesus bear the shame and reproach for you and I. For you to be a disciple of the cross,  you must be ready to deny yourself of worldliness and carnality. You need to die to self and ego. Carrying the cross is total death to flesh. Carrying your cross daily is the surest way to the kingdom of God. It is the surest way to a victorious Christian living. Walk in the Master's steps.
