Preaching the Truth: pleasing God, Not People

*_Preaching Truth: Pleasing God, Not People_*

Galatians 1:10

*"For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ."*

The charge to preach the truth comes with the solemn responsibility of not aiming to please people but rather to faithfully represent God's Word. The essence of preaching is not about winning favor or approval from humanity but about delivering God's unwavering truth.

2 Timothy 4:2 exhorts us to *"Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching."* As bearers of God's truth, our duty is to proclaim it faithfully, without compromise, regardless of the response it evokes.

Our allegiance is to God and His Word, not to the shifting opinions or preferences of people. Acts 5:29 reminds us, *"But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: 'We ought to obey God rather than men.'"*

While preaching the truth may not always be popular or well-received, it stands as a testament to our commitment to honor God above all else. It's crucial to deliver God's message faithfully, even if it challenges or convicts, for therein lies the power to transform lives and align them with God's will.
