In the journey of our Christian walk, the call to diligence resounds throughout Scripture, urging us to pursue Christlikeness with unwavering commitment and effort. Romans 12:11 admonishes us: *"Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord."*


Diligence, as defined by Scripture, is the earnest pursuit of righteousness and faithfulness in every aspect of our lives. It entails a keen attentiveness and unwavering commitment to the will of God. Throughout the Bible, we encounter numerous exhortations to be diligent in our walk with the Lord.


The psalmist declares in Psalm 119:4, *"You have commanded us to keep Your precepts diligently."* Our obedience to God's Word requires steadfast diligence, ensuring that we remain aligned with His truth and righteousness.


Furthermore, Apostle Peter encourages believers to be diligent in confirming their calling and election. He writes in 2 Peter 1:10, *"Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure."* Our diligence in pursuing God's purposes ensures that we walk confidently in His divine calling for our lives.


As we reflect on these Scriptures, let us examine our hearts and identify areas where we may need to exercise greater diligence. May we be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord with wholehearted devotion and unwavering commitment to His will.
