As we read through the historical records of the Bible, we find remarkable accounts of God's omnipotence demonstrated through the lives of ordinary individuals like Sarah and Mary. These women, separated by centuries, were confronted with the astonishing power of God in seemingly impossible situations.

In Genesis, we encounter Sarah, the wife of Abraham, who found herself grappling with disbelief when God promised her a son in her old age. Genesis 18:13-14 recounts the moment when God challenged Sarah's skepticism, asking, *"Is anything too hard for the Lord?"* In this question lies the resounding affirmation of God's omnipotence—nothing is beyond His power to accomplish.

Centuries later, in the humble town of Nazareth, a young woman named Mary received an equally startling message from the angel Gabriel. Despite her astonishment and questions, Mary surrendered to God's will, acknowledging the truth of Luke 1:37: *"For with God nothing will be impossible."*

The doctrine of divine omnipotence, however, raises perplexing questions and challenges. Some may question why God allows evil to persist if He is truly all-powerful. Others may wrestle with apparent contradictions in Scripture regarding God's capabilities.

Yet, the key to understanding divine omnipotence lies in recognizing the sovereignty of God's will. While God can do all things according to His purpose, His actions are guided by His perfect will and character. As Hebrews 6:18 assures us, *"it is impossible for God to lie."*

Therefore, when faced with daunting circumstances or seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Let us trust in His omnipotence, knowing that nothing can thwart His divine will. May we surrender our doubts and uncertainties at His feet, believing that He is able to accomplish far beyond what we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
