The Call to Gather: Prioritizing Church in Our Lives

*_The Call to Gather: Prioritizing Church in Our Lives_*

Attending church plays a vital role in our spiritual growth and devotion to God. It is not merely a tradition or obligation but a profound expression of our commitment to honor and worship the Lord.

Hebrews 10:25 urges us, *"not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."* This verse emphasizes the importance of gathering together with fellow believers to encourage and uplift one another in our faith journey.

As Christians, we acknowledge that all the days of our lives belong to God. Psalm 118:24  declares, *"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."* By setting aside time to attend church, even amidst our busy schedules or inconveniences, we honor God and recognize His sovereignty over our lives.

It is essential to recognize that God is the source of our strength and blessings. Psalm 121:2 affirms, *"My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth."* Therefore, when we prioritize attending church, we demonstrate our dependence on God and our gratitude for His provision.

However, some may offer excuses such as feeling more comfortable worshiping at home or facing challenges like caring for a young child. Yet, Luke 9:62 reminds us, *"But Jesus said to him, 'No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.'"* There should be no excuse for neglecting the fellowship of believers and the opportunity to worship corporately.

Let us commit ourselves to prioritize attending church, recognizing it as a sacred time to commune with God and fellow believers. May we honor God with our presence and be enriched by the spiritual nourishment and fellowship found in the body of Christ.
