The Risen King: Honouring the Saviour's Sacrifice and Glory

*_The Risen King: Honoring the Savior's Sacrifice and Glory_*

As we gather to celebrate Easter, let us direct our hearts and minds to the One who is the very essence of this sacred season. Let us pause to reflect on the journey of our Savior, from the splendor of Heaven to the victory of the empty tomb.

Philippians 2:6-8 captures the humility and sacrifice of Jesus: *"who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."*

Indeed, Jesus willingly laid aside His heavenly glory and entered the world as a humble babe. He lived a sinless life, yet He endured suffering and shame at the hands of His own creation. He was crucified among thieves, mocked, and ridiculed, yet He went to the cross willingly, motivated by His great love for us (Isaiah 53:3-5, John 10:18).

But the story does not end at the cross. On the third day, Jesus rose from the grave, conquering sin, death, and the grave forever (Matthew 28:5-6). He is the champion for His bride, the Church, and He now reigns victorious at the right hand of the Father (Hebrews 10:12).

As we rejoice in the resurrection of our Savior, let us offer Him all the glory and honor He deserves. May our hearts overflow with gratitude for His sacrificial love and unwavering grace. And as we await His glorious return, may we live each day in the light of His resurrection power.
