Avoid Sin and Everything that Leads to it

*AVOID SIN AND EVERYTHING THAT LEADS TO IT.*

*"The word of God says the wages of sin is death", a child of God does not need to be out of breath to be called dead once sin occurs, death occurs, sin disconnects us from our source (God) Just like a fish dies when it is taken out of water, we diethe same way when sin occurs.*

 Remember when God told Adam and Eve that when you eat of this fruit, you will surely die. Genesis:2

 [16] And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You shall eat freely of every tree of the garden;

[17] but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will die.

 But, when they eat the fruit, do they die a physical death? No. But they died a spiritual death, they were disconnected from God.

Sin is deadly to us, it is the devil's gateway into our lives after all, he is the father of sin. He must therefore avoid sin.

I always say this, when you have the devil's property he will surely come knocking on your door, in the same way if you sin the father of sin will surely come.

 Some people will tell you that sin is inevitable, as long as we are on earth we must sin.

Well there is no need to argue, for Christ has given us power over sin, he who is in Christ is a new creation, the old has passed away and the new has come.

 (It is he who wants to stay in the devil's cage who will remain in sin.)

But still, the devil will try by all means to bring us back to the old one, so what should we do.

*A - Trust the word of God.*

 *B - Control your desires.*

 *James: 1 [14] but each one is tempted when he is drawn and attracted by his own desire. [15] Then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has become adult, produces death.*

 The inability to control our desires has caused many of us to succumb to the flesh.

 *Our irresistible desires to be rich,*

*The desire to be popular,*

*Sexual desires, revenge and much more.;The devil knows our desires, so he tempts us with our desires.*

 Remember that the devil tempted Jesus when he fasted and was very hungry. and he tempts Jesus to turn a stone into a loaf of bread because he knows that Jesus was hungry. (Matthew 4:1-3)

 *(We must walk by the spirit of God and not by our flesh) and rely on the word of God to overcome all temptations of the flesh.*

What leads to sin can be;

 *The places we go,*

 *The businesses we keep,*

 *The films we watch,*

 *And the songs we listen to.*
