*REBUILDING THE BROKEN ALTAR*


1 Kgs. 18:30-38

At Mount Carmel, Elijah repaired the broken altar before calling on God to send fire to prove that He is God who answers by fire. He proved to the prophets of Baal that he served the living God who answered by fire. 

▪️ The altar is a place where you encounter God's presence. 

▪️Altar is a place of reconciliation, mediation, and meditation. 

▪️Your heart is where you encounter the presence of God.

 Your heart is where the true reconciliation and mediation take place. 

▪️Your heart is the altar of God.

▪️ Is your heart circumcised by the fire of the Holy Spirit? 

▪️How pure is your heart? Jn. 4:22-24.


▪️ Every altar that will attract the presence of God must be raised to bring glory to Him. 

▪️ The altar is a place where the purifying fire of God licked every water that put out the thirst for more of God and burned every wood, stone, and dust that blurred our vision. 


There is nothing that fire touches that remains the same. To rebuild the broken altar of your life, you need the repairer of the broken altar who is *Christ Jesus*. *The altar is broken down when the fire of the Holy Ghost departs as a result of sin*.


*What Put Out The Fire*

1. Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life. 1 Jn. 2:16.

2. Unforgiveness. Matt. 6: 14&15.

3. Iniquity in your heart. Ps. 66:18

4. Forsaken the first love for Christ. Rev. 2:4

5. When you begin to doubt the ability of God to grant all your requests. 

6. When you measure God's presence in your life by material possessions.


*How To Rebuild The Broken Down Altar*

1. Go back to where you first encounter God. Jer. 6:16 (GNB).

2. Stay away from all forms of sin. Heb. 12:1

3. Live a holy life. 1Pet. 1:15

4. Keep your heart with all diligence. Prov. 4:23.

5. Revive your personal quiet time and family devotion time. 


Friends, the only one who can help you repair your broken altar is *Christ Jesus*
