Beware of Pride

*BEWARE OF PRIDE*

Prov. 16:18


18. "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."


God resists the proud but gives grace unto the humble. Jam. 4:6.


*Opposite of pride is humility*.

*Friends, beware of pride, it destroys*.


▪️Pride can take you from the limelight to obscurity.

Pride brought Lucifer from glory to shame. He was cast out of heaven. Isah. 14:12-15.

▪️Pride took Nebuchadnezzar from the palace into the bush for seven years. Dan. 4:28-33.

▪️Herod was eaten up by worms as a result of pride. He did not return all glory to God. Acts 12:21-23.


▪️When a man humbles himself, God will lift him up in due time. 1 Pet. 5:6.

▪️Jesus humble Himself. As a result, God gave Him a name that is above every other name. 

When you humble yourself before God, at the right time, God will announce your name to the world. Phil. 2:8 & 9.

Don't allow God to humble you.

 You are the one who will humble yourself. Ask God for the grace.

▪️God can only commit serious issues of His kingdom and life into your hand when He sees your level of humility.

▪️God can only use a man who is humble for His work on earth.

▪️God can only commit Himself, His power, and His anointing into the hands of genuinely humble men.

Are you a humble man?

Can God entrust you with precious souls, and you will not mess their lives up with the spirit of pride?


If God decides to use you for His work, be careful not to allow pride to deny you of His presence. It is by His mercy He chose you. Do not allow *I*, *ME* or *MYSELF* to deny you of His mercy upon your life.

I, *ME* or *MYSELF* are products of *PRIDE*. Pride is one of the manifestations of the *FLESH*.

▪️Do not overprice yourself.

▪️Do not overvalue yourself.

▪️Never think that without you, the work of God cannot be done.

Never think you are better than others. 

▪️Know that you may be proud and you may not know. Make sure you mirror your life in the light of Christ's life. 

That is the reason why you MUST humble yourself and have a teachable spirit. 

Listen to men that God has a place over your life (men who teach you the undiluted word of God). Imitate their lives and faith. Heb. 13:7.
