Jesus shed his blood to purify and qualify us as the Righteousness of God in Christ. 


Our Lord Jesus pre-incarnate spoke to Moses as written in Leviticus 17:11, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul." 


Atonement is to be reconciled with Father. Our soul cleansed and purified. Our sins and transgressions in the flesh he will remember no more. 


Why? Because God sent his son to be judged on the cross in our place. His body broken so that we can be made whole and his blood shed so that we can be purified and come to God, face to face and be embraced by the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
