Embracing Your Desperate Needs for Jesus
*_Embracing Your Desperate Need for Jesus_*
It's easy to get caught up in our own plans, dreams, and responsibilities. We often find ourselves striving for success, happiness, and fulfillment through our own efforts. But in the midst of our busyness, there's a truth that we sometimes forget: our desperate need for Jesus.
Life has a way of showing us our limitations, our vulnerabilities, and our inadequacies. It's during these moments that we should pause and remember that we were never meant to navigate life's challenges on our own. Our need for Jesus is not a sign of weakness; it's a recognition of our human nature and our dependence on the One who is greater than ourselves.
The psalmist understood this when he wrote, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). When we realize our desperate need for Jesus, it opens the door to His presence and His saving grace. It's in our brokenness and humility that we draw closer to Him, finding strength, comfort, and restoration.
The apostle Paul also recognized his need for Jesus when he said, *"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me"* (2 Corinthians 12:9). Our weaknesses and struggles become opportunities for Christ's strength to shine through us.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, weary, or uncertain; remember that your desperate need for Jesus is a blessing. It's an invitation to surrender your burdens, fears, and insecurities to Him. It's a reminder that you were created to live in communion with your Creator, relying on His wisdom, guidance, and love.
