Facing Eternity: Saviour Or Judge On That Day
*_Facing Eternity: Savior or Judge on That Day_*
One day, every single person will stand before Jesus Christ. This is an undeniable reality. Some will meet Him as their Savior, while others will meet Him as their Judge. The Bible clearly teaches that each of us has an appointment with eternity, and the way we live now determines how we will meet Him.
Jesus, in His mercy, came to earth as a Savior, offering salvation to all who would believe in Him. *"For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost"* (Luke 19:10). He gave His life on the cross so that we could be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life. For those who repent and trust in Him, Jesus will meet them as a loving Savior, welcoming them into His eternal kingdom.
However, for those who reject Him, the encounter will be vastly different. The Bible warns that Jesus will return as a righteous Judge. *"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad"* (2 Cor 5:10). Those who have not accepted Christ's salvation will stand before Him in judgment, with their deeds exposed, and without the covering of His righteousness.
In that moment, there will be no second chances, no excuses, no appeals. *"It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment"* (Heb 9:27). The decisions made in this life will determine your eternal destiny—whether you will spend eternity in the presence of God or face eternal separation from Him.
This is not a message to be taken lightly. One day, we will all stand before the One who holds eternity in His hands. The question is, will you meet Him as your Savior or as your Judge? Today is the day of salvation. Turn to Him now while there is still time, for tomorrow is not promised. *"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Cor 6:2).
