TOLERANCE in Marriage..


*T – Trust*  

Marriage thrives on trust, which builds a strong foundation for enduring love.  

*Proverbs 3:5* "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Trust your spouse even when it looks as if (S)he is not saying the truth. 


*O – Overlooking Offenses*  

Tolerance requires letting go of minor or major faults and not keeping records of wrongs.  

*Proverbs 19:11* "A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense."  


*L – Love Unconditionally*  

Love in marriage must be selfless, patient, and enduring.  

*1 Corinthians 13:4-7* "Love is patient, love is kind... it keeps no record of wrongs."  


*E – Empathy*  

Understanding your spouse’s feelings and perspectives promotes tolerance.  

*Romans 12:15* "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn."  


*R – Respect*  

Honoring your spouse in words and actions strengthens the bond.  

*Ephesians 5:33* "Each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband."  


*A – Adaptability*  

Marriage involves adjusting to changes and learning to compromise.  

*Philippians 2:4* "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."  


*N – Nurture Peace*  

A tolerant marriage seeks peace, avoiding unnecessary conflicts.  

*Hebrews 12:14* "Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy."  


*C – Commitment*  

Staying devoted through thick and thin fosters a lasting marriage.  

*Ruth 1:16* "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay."  


*E – Endurance*  

True tolerance means enduring hardships with faith and patience.  

*James 1:12* "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial."
