Stand on God's Word

Introduction:

“Stand on God’s Word.” It usually means we should choose to trust, believe, and live according to what God has promised in Scripture, even when circumstances are uncertain or challenging.

Here are a four ways we should “stand on God’s Word”:

1. Faith and Trust: Believing that what God says in the Bible is true, even when feelings or situations say otherwise.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

2. Speaking Scripture: Using verses as declarations of truth over one’s life — for strength, healing, guidance, or encouragement.

"It is written…” — Matthew 4:4 (Jesus Himself quoted Scripture to overcome temptation.)

3. Obedience and Action: Not just knowing the Word, but doing what it says.

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…” — James 1:22

4. Stability in Trials: When life is uncertain, standing on God’s Word means remaining grounded in His promises.

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” — Isaiah 49:8
