Jesus: The Prince of Peace
TOPIC: JESUS: THE PRINCE OF PEACE
TEXT: Isaiah 9:6
INTRODUCTION
As far as the members of the chosen generation are concerned, Jesus is the essence of our celebration and reason for our livelihood (Philippian 1:21, Act 17:28). He was not just a child born in the manger; He is also a son given by GOD to the world to save the dying world (John 3:16). His birth, growth and ministry are products of age long prophesy fulfilments.
These prophesies also revealed His names and pattern of destiny pathway (Matthew 1:21, Isaiah 9:6). The more we understand the revelation of his name(s), the more we strengthen our indicator for destiny fulfilment. His names: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting father and prince of Peace ae our testimonies.
THE PRINCE OF PEACE:
PRINCE: Son of the king, male child belonging to a royal family. Has authority of King and empowered to act likewise. Jesus’s royalty is deep and peculiar: He has a crown, palace/temple (I Corinthians 3:16, Ephesians 3:17). He is God (deep and mysterious concept) John 10:30
PEACE: State of extreme calmness, all round restoration, orderliness and productivity (Philippians 4:7). Absence of storm, troubles, war, pain and satanic invasion (John 10;10) which ushers in LIFE and FREEDOM and RECONCILIATION to our MAKER
PRINCE OF PEACE: The supreme man with kingship authority whose presence commands absolute restoration, reconciliation and Godliness (Act 10:38, Mark 4:39).
IMPLICATIONS OF THE PRESENCE OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE
✓ No more war/worries, pain, storm and other vices of the devil (Isaiah 59:19)
✓ Absolute presence of persistence peace that enhance productivity and Godliness
HOW TO BE A PARTAKER OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE GODLY VIRTUES
✓ Critically do a self-assessment and acknowledge whom you are (I Corinthians 13:5)
✓ Prepare your heart and make it clean for Him II Corinthians 12:14 (confess, forsake your sin and ready to accept Godliness)
✓ Open the door of your heart for him and confess him as the LORD of your life
✓ Let him dwell persistently in your heart, make your heart habitable for him (Godly living, working for Him Luke 19:13 e.t.c)
° Continue to shine and occupy till he comes
Conclusively, the Christmas celebration that is encoded with manifestations of the presence of prince in the lives of the celebrates is the real celebration.
Enough is enough of wars, worries and disorderliness. The kingdom of God must dwell in our hearts and this goes beyond just meat and drink (Roman 14:17).
The world needs the manifestations of the prince of peace in your life, go in this thy might and manifest the peace of God to your world. God is relying on you as you celebrate with
understanding.
