Fix Our Eye on Jesus

Fix Our Eyes on Jesus

In a world of uncertainty, fear, and rapid change, God’s children have an unshakable hope: "The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all" (Psalm 103:19). No circumstance, no crisis, no chaos lies beyond His sovereign control. When the waves of life threaten to overwhelm, we are not called to understand every detail, but to fix our eyes on the One who holds all things together.

The writer of Hebrews urges us, "Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:1-2). Our peace does not come from having all the answers, but from trusting the One who does. When Peter walked on water, he succeeded as long as his gaze remained on Christ. The moment he focused on the storm, he began to sink. So too with us—our stability depends not on the calmness of our circumstances, but on the steadfastness of our focus.

God’s control is not a distant doctrine—it is a present comfort. "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). Even when we cannot see His hand, we can trust His heart. He has never lost control, and He never will.

So today, lift your eyes above the chaos. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly troubles. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3). In every season, through every trial, He remains faithful. Your role is not to control, but to trust. Your calling is not to fear, but to fix your eyes on Him.
