LEADERSHIP & POLITICS
Integrity what is it?
It is defined as firm adherence to strong moral and ethical principles sustained by honesty, consistency, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Consistent regardless of the circumstances or who is present. Honesty – being truthful and incorruptible. Accountable – taking ownership of your choices and accepting the consequences of one’s action.
Leadership:
The
process of social influence in which a person enlist the support of others to
accomplish a common, shared goal. It relies on inspiring and empowering others
to provide clear direction, and fostering collaboration to achieve outcomes
that cannot be reached working alone.

Gives direction

Organizes resources
and coordinating team members so that individual efforts support the collective
objective.

Motivates the
team to remain dedicated, overcome challenges and take ownership of vision.
Leadership
styles may vary but effective leaders will share core trait and competences.
Leaders must be strategic in thinking to anticipate future needs, making said
decision and solving problems.
Types of Leaders:

– Focusing on innovational changes.

Concerned with the growth of others

Democratic –
Participations
v
Autocratic – With
little input from others
v
Leissez Fairs –
Provides mutual direction
Politics:
The
settling affair in an organized society, usually concerned with resolving
issues within a society via a government. Politicians are those who engage in
politics.
Now
when in social or spiritual life, the key or point of emphasis is “Integrity”.
This covers all areas of our lives. Biblically, it is “Complete”, “Without
blemish”, “Sincerity”. Prov 11:3; Job 27:5; Dan 1:8; (Jesus – our example of
perfect integrity). Prov 28:6; 1 Pt 3:16; Prov 12:22, 21:3; 2 Cor 8:21
