Beyond the Storm: Finding Light in Turbulent Times

Image
*_Beyond the Storm: Finding Light in Turbulent Times_* Have you ever been on an airplane as it flew through a thunderstorm? The experience can be both unnerving and awe-inspiring. All around you, the storm's fury is evident – rain beating against the windows, the wind howling, and looks of worry on passengers' faces. In these moments, you might wonder, "When will we reach the other side of this storm?" In these turbulent flights, the transition from anxiety to peace is almost instantaneous as the plane breaks through the clouds, revealing the sun's radiant glow just beyond the storm. As children of God, we don't have to wait for our personal storms to pass to experience the light and peace of the Son. Psalm 119:105 assures us, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."* God's Word sustains us through life's storms and opens our eyes to see the Son, the radiance of God's glory, even as we soar through challenges. John 8:12...

Communion With God

Communion with God Our birthright as children of God grants us a remarkable privilege: the right to commune intimately with our Heavenly Father. 1 John 3:1 assures us, *"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!"* This profound love entitles us to a deep and personal connection with the Creator. God yearns for communion with His children. In James 4:8, it's written, *"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."* Our Father eagerly awaits our initiative to draw closer to Him, longing for us to seek His presence. Psalm 145:18 affirms, *"The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth."* God's closeness is not contingent upon our status or merits but is readily available to those who sincerely seek Him. As heirs of God's kingdom, communion with Him is our rightful inheritance. We're invited to converse with Him in prayer, seek His guidance through His ...

Grow in Your Faith

Image
*GROW In YOUR FAITH*  God has dealt to every person a measure of faith (Romans 12:3, NKJV). But as a Christian full of faith, God doesn’t want you to become stagnant. He wants you to GROW in Him! Growing in Him means growing from faith to faith (Romans 1:17, KJV). It means getting to know Him better, and getting to know Him more this week than last week, and more today than yesterday.   *Grow Through Hearing the Word*  “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17, NKJV). If you want to grow in your faith, it starts by hearing, and that means feeding yourself with God’s Word. When you hear God’s Word, it changes you. It affects your worldview and alters the way you think. Is this talking about brainwashing? Yes—if brainwashing means washing your brain with the Word of God! We want to see things the way God sees them, and we want to think the way He thinks. The good news is, there’s an entire book filled with the way God thinks:...

The Role of Faith in Our Journey

Image
*_The Role of Faith in Our Journey_* *"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."* ~Hebrews 11:1 Faith, at its core, isn't always about feeling uplifted. It's the inner assurance that grounds our hope in the promises of God, especially during times when circumstances feel bleak. The journey of faith isn't always a vibrant, exhilarating experience. Sometimes, it's a quiet strength that holds us steady amidst the storms of life. 2 Corinthians 5:7 teaches us, *"For we walk by faith, not by sight."* Our journey in faith involves trust, not just in what we see, but in what God declares and promises. Consider the life of Job and how he portrays unwavering trust, *"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him."* (Job 13:15a). Jobs' faith endured through adversity because it wasn't contingent on feelings but anchored in his unshakable belief in God's character. Likewise, James 1:2-3 instructs, *"...
